my local park and one other park has
come to me asking me to shoot the
- team pictures next year for there
ball parks. Each park consist
of 40 to 50 - teams with 12 to 14
players per teams. - That said, I
have so many questions I don't know
where to start .
Business questions: - 1. I need
to work up a budget/business plan,
what are some of the - not-so-obvious
thing to budget? I know film, processing,
display frames. - 2. Is asking
the park for up front money appropriate?
- 3. Is it okay to want the
parents to prepay for the pictures?
Absolutely, collect the money as you
go and that will take care of most
of your cash flow problems, and save
you big headaches trying to deliver
and collect.

As for business
plans,
talk to SCORE, a business
advisory group of volunteers. Also,
talk to your potential labs, they
can help you with a lot of the details,
like setting up shot sheet logs etc.
