Question:
I was thinking of some
business
venture ideas, and was wondering if
i can get a little information.
1) My
first question
is how would one go about starting
a hotel
business
(to later branch out as a chain of
hotels)?
2) My second question
is how would you start a department
store (i understand you need to write
a business
plan, find a commercial building,
etc) but how would you start, where
do you get the merchandise, etc?
What i would like to do is
to start one type of business
and then attempt to branch out with
maybe the department store, and maybe
some form of technological company.
Answer:
Sorry, but until you have all the
skills to manage a hotel
or department store, your questions
don't make much sense. An exception
would be if you can afford to hire
the experts needed to launch such
a business.
What I Would like to do is to start

company. The first step is to
get a job in the business you'd like
to start and work your way up to the
upper management level. In the
process, start saving and investing
enough money to finance where you
are headed.
Hit the library and read through some
books about how Wal-Mart and the big
hotel chains came into existence. Study
how the people involved got there
and start yourself on the same kind
of path. Please do keep in mind
you are fighting the same kind of
odds as winning the lottery to match
their success.
