| Growth Of Sales In Bakery Products |
Question:
I am asking this for someone who is
developing a business
plan for a specialty baking / coffee
bar she is starting. Where would I
be able to find the answer to the
following questions:
1) What is the overall growth in numbers
of specialty coffee stores in the
last 2 to 5 years?
2) What is the profit margin of regular
as opposed to specialty coffees?
3) What is the growth in sales of
bakery
products and specialty bakery
products in specialty bake shops over
the past 2 to 5 years?
Any advice on where I can look for
this information would be GREATLY
appreciated! Please email me with
your results or post them here
Answer:
First off .YOU need to find these
answers in the city/town where you
plan on having your business.
Getting answers for the country is
only a so-so answer and the banks
or whoever you are planning on getting
your loan from want the specifics
for your area. I had my own bakery
and went through my own business
plan as I started from scratch.
P. S. Not to discourage you, but I
do hope that you realize that bakeries
and any type of food establishments
have a very high failure rate. You
have to prove in a business plan,
in black and white, why you don't
think you will fail.
